Kiwi. A New Packaging Line for Fresh Fruits

Spis treści:

Not every fruit requires the same type of packaging. Kiwi is a product that needs carefully designed protection. The fruits must remain stable, properly separated and protected against pressure during transport. In practice, even small movements inside the carton can affect product quality upon delivery.

That is why at PRINEST we continue to develop new solutions dedicated to fresh produce and have added another mould to our production line for paper kiwi trays.

The new project was created with one simple idea in mind. Packaging should work together with the product. Not only separate it, but actively stabilise the fruits inside the carton and improve safety throughout logistics and transportation. Thanks to specially designed paper nests, kiwi naturally settles into place and remains stable even during long distance transport.

The biggest difference between a standard paper tray and a solution designed specifically for kiwi comes from the shape of the fruit itself. Most traditional trays are created for rounder products. Kiwi, however, has a more oval and elongated shape, which requires a completely different type of support.

This is why our new paper nests have been designed to adapt more precisely to the fruit shape. The kiwi gently sinks into the tray structure and becomes more closely wrapped by the paper compared to standard solutions. As a result, the fruits remain more stable, move less during transport and gain additional protection during logistics and storage.

At PRINEST, we do not see paper trays as simple separators. For us, packaging is part of the entire transport and product protection process. That is why we continuously develop new formats, new structures and innovative solutions tailored to specific fruits and customer requirements.
